I went to Germany Nov 2000. It cost about $6500. That included my flight from Phx AZ round trip, the nurses apartment, hospital stay (including all tests), the surgeries, Dr Korells fees, sight seeing, all meals, & gifts to take home. It can be done for less, but I am not sure how much less. I love spending money, but was careful not to over spend. I was there for 3 weeks. Dr Korell is also a wonderful Dr & a special person. He was the one that picked me up at the airport & took me to the hospital. I actually felt that I was on holiday! A few days after one surgery, I walked so much that my feet hurt! My last surgery was done locally. I had open abdominal surgery. I would have prefered to return to Germany, but I could not afford it. I am having pain again and wish I could return to Dr Korell. My last surgery here, the Dr told me that my trip to Germany helped me a great deal, because I had very few adhesions. I am thinking that if I could afford to return to Germany a couple of more times, that I might become adhesion free. I don't think that repeat surgeries are for everyone, but, if you have reduced adhesions after surgery, then I think it it possible to become adhesion free at some point. Dr Korell has given me alot of hope. love robin
