Hi Cathy
Thanks for responding.
Don't mind the questions, I still have many too. I started this week on
the "mini-pill" to see how I tolerate it. I asked about the blood
pressure too, but doc said the estrogen raises it more. The progesterin
is given as an alternative in cases were someone MUST take something to
stop ovulation and control endo and cannot have the surgery or take
estrogen.
I am thinking too that I will just ask to stay on the oral medication
and take it continously (I think they come 3 weeks active, 1 week
inactive, not sure yet) instead of the shot. The idea of having
something in me for 3 months or longer scares me. I go back in 3 months
for follow up.
I have been researching and am a little concerned that I hear the
Progesterone may not be as effective in stopping ovulation as the
estrogen.
I guess I will find out!
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
