I have been following your message board for months and have gotten some
helpful information, thank you to all of you.
I had an obstruction at 25 (15 years ago) and resulting severe
peritonitis. Had a complete hysterectomy years ago. A partial
obstruction 6-10 times a year and 6 more lap's over these years. The
last was 2 years ago with lots of Sepra film applied.
I had a major obstruction 2 weeks ago but something has changed. It is
not completely resolving, still cannot eat solids. Needless to say, the
pain is horrid.
Over the years, doctors have been unhelpful, and wonder if I am just
looking for pain meds. Do you all consult a surgeon, G.I. specialist
or a pain specialist? I have been toughing it out at home for years.
Is there anyone I can consult to ask for the name of an understanding
doc? I live 60 miles north of NYC and would be willing to travel
anywhere to see someone. Thank you again my friends-
