Hi Jen.

I am new to the group too. I can truly sympathize with your story. After fighting endometriosis for several years with multiple laparoscopies, laparotomies, etc. I had a total hysterectomy in 1997 at age 21. It was devistating to me, but I just could not go on in that kind of pain any longer.

I have battled and continue to battle adhesions from the endometriosis and all of the surgeries. My last surgery for my adhesions was November of last year.

I also battle very severe interstitial cystitis (a condition in which the lining of the bladder is damaged). This causes intense pain and I sometimes experience blood in my urine as well.

When my adhesions flare up, I do get a crampy pain that isn't there all of the time, but it can get very intense at times.

I hope that helps you. I agree with you. It is comforting to know that there are people out there who know and understand how we feel.

Sincerely,

Kristen
