I had my gallbladder removed 3/22/00, my pain started in Jan. 2000.
I was told I would feel great 2 weeks after surgery instead I got
sicker. I lost 25 lbs. and was in excrutiating pain. IN May 2000 I
had a procedure where they inserted a laprascope into my stomach but
everything was "NORMAL". The Dr. ttreated me like I was a nutcase! I
went to another Dr. who had me have a barium enema & an abdominaL CT
scan. Again, everything was "NORMAL". I was prescribed prilosec, then
ultram, then vicodin, & then neurontin. None of these phased my pain! I
was forced to return to work On 7/03/00 because my sick pay ran out.
Each day was agonizing, it was all I could do to make it through my work
day and come home& cry & curl up with my heating pads! After 15 mos. of
this I finally had a breakdown, I've been on medical leave since
10/04/01. In the meantime I've been to at least a dozen different Drs..
I've had bloodwork, physical therapy, another ab CT scan,MRI,X-rays,Upper
GI,and an Epidural. But of course everything was "NORMAL"! The epidural
made the pain worse! I did get a TENS unit that does help ease the pain,
but my old standby the heating pad helps more than anything. I am
currently undergoing therapy for depression, I'm on effexor & klonopin.
Now my ins. co. is pressuring the Dr. to release me! I come to my own
conclusion that I have adhesions but I can't find a Dr. in AZ to treat
me. Any Suggestions?
