Hi Sandy: It sounds like you may have a trapped nerve or two in your abdominal wall to the end of your incision caused by adhesions. When you get distended from feces in the bowel it maybe pulling on a adhesion that also has some trapped nerves. -------Original Message------- From: adhesions@adhesions.org Date: Wednesday, May 08, 2002 22:18:49 To: Multiple recipients of list ADHESIONS Subject: abdominal pain I had a hysterectomy almost 20 years ago. I had fybroid tumors in my uterus. They removed everything except one ovary. About 8 or 9 years ago I started having this pain in my lower abdomin. The pain is always in the same place, my lower left side at the end of my incision. The pain will come at anytime of the day or night and will last a few minutes. The doctor has ran all kinds of tests from lower GI, the scope and ulta sounds. His diagnosis was spastic colin. I have been treated for a spastic colin before and the pain in not in any way alike. Is my pain caused from adhesions? Will the pain get worse as time goes on? Thank you.
