I am in Canada as well, in New Brunswick. Which province are you in?
Dr. Korrell is in Duisberg. Unfortunately, unless your province is a lot different from NB, Medicare will not contribute. My GP has told me that if I were to go to Germany, it would be at my own expense as NB Medicare will not cover out-of-country procedures.
You need an adhesion expert if you are to have any chance at all of being pain-free in the future. However, here in New Brunswick at least, I have been fortunate to convince my GP that adhesions can and do cause pain, but most of the other medical professionals I have consulted, including the pain management clinic, don't believe that adhesions can or do cause pain or other problems, have suggested that this is a psychosomatic problem, have diagnosed me as having IBS (which I don't), and have told me that they will not operate unless I develop a complete bowel obstruction.
Sorry I can't be more positive for you Chantale, but you are not the only Canadian here. Brenda, Clare, Mary Pomroy - there are a few of us here.
Gentle hugs,
Nancy in NB
