I am 6 days post-op for removal of my left ovary. This was a preventative measure as we have quite a family history of breast, colon and ovarian cancer-which I am told all go together. ANyway, it was to be a simple laproscopic surgery 1 hr. I was in surgery for 2 1/2 hours because of adhesions from a partial hysterectomy 30 years ago. No one expected that. I too had adhesions around my ovary and my lower stomach muscles. Which explains why situps never worked on the lower abs. The pain was so bad that I was moaning in the recovery room (they told me). Now I am wondering if this surgery is going to cause more adhesions down the road. I go back to Dr. Wed. so I will ask her but any advice from you all is great. Finally, I can sit up and walk around more every day but at 52 and fit, its still takes time. Thanks
