Scar tissue after back Surgury

I had back surgury for a herniated disc 12 years ago. I felt fine for 6 months or so but the pain gradually came back.I have had a number of MRIs and opinions from doctors who say that my pain is from scar tissue from the surgury and further surgury is not an option. They all (doctors) told me that the scar tissue may grow back and I could be worse than I am now instead of better. They pretty much told me to live with it.That was 9 or 10 years ago. ARE THERE ANY NEW TECHNOLOGIES THAT CAN PREVENT THE REGROWTH OF SCAR TISSUE IN THE LOWER BACK AFTER SURGURY? Thank you.
