I'm due to have a ct scan on Monday evening after 2 weeks of trying to clear an urinary tract infection - nonvisible blood and some bacteria. I have pressure in my right side under my rib cage and the slight pain towards the side and back. He's thinking possible kidney stone but after reading a lot about that it's sounding more like adhesions to me although I don't have nearly the pain symptoms that I'm reading about here. I did have a total hysterectomy 10 years ago and gallbladder surgery 27 years ago and two c-sections in between. The area of discomfort is about where the one incision was made for gallbladder. He has mentioned adhesions as another possibility. I've never had laparoscopic surgery before - what's involved with that? With all my previous surgeries, I'm not looking forward to more. Oh, I also had broken ribs in March and discovered osteopenia - broken on the same side as the pressure and pain. The pressure seems to start after I'm up and moving around in the morning and feels better when I'm laying down. I feel like a slug. sorry this sounds confusion but I'm a little nervous about it all. My mother also had colon cancer but that all seems to be functioning properly. Thanks for listening.
