Dear Dee, no, no, no, you are not a "pill junkie" if you are taking medication for pain. If however, you are taking pills to ( "get high) then you are. Do you have adhesions? Are you in pain? If so, the pills are what you need. If you are faking anything then that's different. Don't think of yourself as an addict if your pain is real. That's a trap that our families and society puts on us, but we don't have to accept it. There is a great deal of evidence that as soon as our pain is gone, we can stop the pills easily. Or if not easilty, then with some effort, but I'm convinced I can stop anytime I want to. But I'm not going to live a life of laying in the fetal position crying and moaning. And neither should you.
