Adhesions like rubber band?

Ok here is a new and quite interesting theory I received from a good friend of mine. I have a friend whom has had many stomach surgeries. She has been plaqued with adhesion discomfort for years. She told me that over the years that the adhesion become like a rubber band, the more you stretch them the more they become looser in her case. I thought that they become denser with time? I hope I am describing this correctly. In other words, if the adhesion are attached to your bowels then the more you keep your bowels moving the more the adhesion loosens up. I ask my mother this question (she had 2 c-sections almost 30 years ago) she explained to me that has scar tissues from her surgeries she recalls have a great deal of discomfort then. She also told me that on occasions she still has some problems, however not as bad as she had years ago.

Has anyone heard this new and interesting theory. I have visited the all the adhesions sites and could not find that information.
