Simeone,
I had gall bladder surgery 3/22/00. I've been in
chronic pain ever since. I went from Dr. to Dr., had
test after test, everything always came back "NORMAL".
Not until this past Dec. did a Dr. mention adhesions.
Guess what? All those tests I went thru do not detect
adhesions. I went thru months of physiciatric help &
was put on anti-depressants to combat the pain. Guess
What? It did NOT help. I've had two Drs. recommend
ERCP but when I went to the specialists who do them
they strongly recommended I NOT have an ERCP. They
said it would do me more harm than good. So I finally
had surgery 7/29/02. I had adhesions attaching my
colon, pancreas, & duodenum to my liver. The surgeon
used Seprafilm but I am still in pain! I just grin &
bear it right now. I also use ice packs when the pain
is really bad. I'm hoping to find a pain Dr., I've
been to two others but they didn't seem to know
anything about adhesion pain. My story is on the
adhesion quilt. Feel free to e-mail on this site or
privately. There aren't many of us who have upper
right quadrant adhesions. Hope this will give you some
encouragement to hang in there. (I went camping over
the week-end or I would have responded sooner)
Take Care,
Rita in AZ
