I am new to the IAS and have found the emails extremely interesting. I had my first surgery in 1994 and it took them 3 hours to remove the adhesions. I have had problems for about 20 years or so. I had my 3rd surgery May 20th, 2002. After reading some of these emails, I realize how lucky I really am. I have been able to go about 4 years in between each surgery. Unfortunately, I don't think that is going to last. After my most recent surgery, I have pain every day and still live with constant nausea. I don't eat much at all during the day because I just spend too much time in the rest room. I do eat a good meal in the evening though. I never realized this affected so many people and it really is comforting to know you can talk to others with this same problem. Unless you have the same problem, you don't realize how much this affects ones life. Would love to hear from anyone. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and work for Nissan NOrth America. Karen
