Dear Carolyn,

There are no easy answers to the questions you pose in your message. If adhesions were found during your exploratory laparoscopy and the doctors aren't offering you any solutions, then it is time to look for another doctor. One who knows about adhesions and believes that he/she can do something to help you.

The best advice I can give you is to research adhesions; the International Adhesions Society has some very good information as well as useful links as well as information on associated diseases and conditions often brought on by them.

If you want help in coping day to day you can take a look at the "How to Cope" section on http://www.bombobeach.com which is The Australian Adhesions Support Group. It focuses on the broader picture of ARD and the impact it has on your personal life and relationships with your life partner, children or even your parents.

Don't stop asking your doctors questions and keep asking until you are confident that the doctor has given you all the information relevant to your condition.

I hope this helps a little... please ask more questions as they arise, because knowledge is power!

Love & warm gentle hugs, Jo
