Cherryl, Did he pinch your bowe - to prove his pointl? If so, did you experience pain?

I have read that the bowel (or intestines) do not have a nerve supply. The bowel is a muscle. If I'm wrong, I's like to hear what a person with a medical background has to say about this.

When the bowel is attached - especially to the peritoneum (which does have a rich nerve supply) - the peristalsis of the bowel as it moves food along through the digestive tract through the small and large intestines and eventual elimination WILL CAUSE a pulling, tugging and twisting action on the peritoneum. As a result the peritoneum will become inflamed - and will continue to be chronically inflamed as a result of this constant irritating action to the peritoneum.
