-- Toni, My gastroenterologist just prescribed MiraLax for a difficult bowel problem I have. He told me take it everyday. This is somewhat puzzling, inasmuch as my family doctor told me that taking laxatives on a continuous basis is dangerous. Ones normal system will completely shut down. I have not as yet discussed with him what the GI doctor told me. Anyway, the MiraLax does seem to help.Yes I was prescribed that for my non funtioning bowel, make sure you eat a soda cracker, some people do real well with it. It is an idividual situation from one to another on how you will do. It tasted a little salty to me. Shawna f
