Shawna, I've had several surgeries - my last was 10 months ago - it was to be a laporoscopy to remove my ovary due to cysts but ended up a laporotomy due to so many adhesions. My gyno talked about do the proper kind of barrier which I was impressed with his knowledge of ahesions. Just curious - have many of you been off work for such long periods of time? I'm concerned because I've been off since the 30th and then finally 5 weeks later surgery and then either 2 to 6 weeks recovery - depending on the procedure. Currently taking vicodine which just dulls the pain...not to mention never know when my bowels will attack. I'm really depressed.

>Robyn, I want to ask you, have you asked your GYN what kind of barrier he uses with his surgeries? Also I was thinking for you, how many surgeries have you had? This would be a great time to utilize your computor whenever your able to sit and surf for more and more educational material about your upcoming surgery. Just a thought Shawna F.
