How long has it been since you have had a BM? Have you tried stool softeners and laxatives? Have you asked the dr. what he advises? Are you running a temp? I know exactly how you feel, I have been admitted to the hospital 3 different times due to the pain, abdominal swelling and unable to have a BM. They were all due to my adhesions and thank God I didn't have to have surgery because my bowels finally moved in the hospital. I have found that I have to be on a low fat and low residual diet in order to keep my sanity.
