Hi Linda:

I haven't been posting much lately, but I've been around for nearly three years. I have suffered with extremely painful periods all my life - when I was a teenager, I could guarantee two days in bed with a heating pad at the beginning of each period, and it isn't much better now, 30 years later.

I've found two things that help and neither of them react with the prescription drugs I'm on for pain management (I'm on Oxycontin with Percocet for breakthrough). Traditional Medicinals markets an herbal tea called PMS Tea, which is very soothing. I also use an over the counter medication called Pamprin. I'm not sure why it helps, but it really does relieve those intense, gut-ripping, knock-you-off-your-feet cramps that feel like someone is trying to rip your ovaries out through your crotch.

Just my two-cents worth, but I hope it helps.

Hugs,

Nancy in NB
