Grey Wolf, You have every right to be scared. I have gone into cardiac and respiratory arrest during two separate surgeries. The second time I awoke as they were trying to do the tracheotomy. I ended up on a respirator for a few days, so I know just how scary it is. The one thing that may be a little comforting to you, is to know that the doctors probably will not do more surgery unless it is an emergency. Are you vomiting? Are you passing any gas? Are you in extreme pain....different from your every day pain? I have had a number of obstructions too and as you know, these are the signs to look for. If you have an obstruction they can try placing an NG tube down your nose and hope that clears it...not a pleasant procedure, but far better than surgery. If you are having these symptoms get your butt to the ER. You will need immediate medical attention. Tell your doctor you want to avoid surgery at all costs. But, if they are like my doctors, they won't touch you with a ten foot pole...unless they absolutely have to. My prayers are with you.

I went just a little bit this morning but not much since yesterday afternoon. You see I have chronic loose stools. I am so afraid to go to the ER but I think I have to. I do not want anoher surgery. I have had two for obstructions &the last one they had to do CPR twice. I woke up being monitored on the cardiac wing. I need some help but am afraid to go through this again. I do not know if I will make it through another one. HELP
