Dear Linda, It's obvious that this doctor is not the doctor for you!! You deserve to be treated much better than this doctor treated you!!

H> You have the right to say you don't want a pelvic exam.

H> You have the right to receive adequate pain medication. For someone who is experiencing chronic pain, pain medication will not cause addiction.

"I should have got up and ran when I noticed that he had deadbolts on the exam room doors."

H> Yes, you should have!!

"He did say that I need the hysterectomy though."

H> Can you believe this doctor - after the way he treated you? Learn as much as you can about a hysterectomy before agreeing to this life-altering surgical procedure. Don't submit to a hysterectomy unless diagnostic tests prove there's a valid reason for having a hysterectomy!! Too many hysterectomies are being done for the wrong reason!!

Love, Helen D.
