Helen Dynda (and everyone)~I need help for a friend

Hi Everyone:
We have a friend who earlier this year had both his legs amputated at
the knee. He has suffered something terrible with massive pain.
He's allergic to all Morphine and Morphine derivitives, and even has a
reaction to Demerol. Here's where I need your help. Helen, I've
searched and searched the archives looking for a message I thought you
sent me about a Dr in Mississauga, Ontario who was excellent with
alternative drugs for pain management, but if you did send it to me, I
sure can't find it.
Our friend Jim is in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, but he really needs the
help of anyone who has any ideas for pain meds for severe, intractable
pain. My heart really does go out to him...currently they have him on
Tylenol 3. He's tried Neutonin(sp?), but it just made him sleepy. If
anyone know of any drugs that may help him, please reply.
I am sending him the link to the Canadian chronic pain organization,
which thanks to Helen, I had at my fingertips :o) Thanks so much.
