I've been there done that. Make sure before they start to put the ng tube
down they need to first make sure it is warm which softens it up, then the
first part that needs to go into your nose is angled so it goes down the way
it is suppoesd to, & last make sure you have plenty of water. Like I tell my
nurses it's going down & when it get's there you are going to suction
everything after that anyway, so as they say swallow I have enough in there
to actually swallow the tube. If they will not do this I will not have it
put down. It is up to you It's your body. your nose, your comfort ect. I
