I read your message and I want to respond by saying is it worth it?? I
have had 10 surgeries over the years for adhesions and the answer for me
is when my pain has become so unreal and out of control that a day isn't
worth looking out the window I guess I can say having surgery was worth
it but then to know that eventually it will only lead to more surgery
because these viciuos creatures return with a vengeance no it isn't
worth it. If you can still function and your bowels move and your pain
can be controlled by other methods; pain meds, blocks, message, yoga,or
anything don't let them do surgery. If you have to find yourself an
experienced ADHESION Specialist. Not some jack run of the mill doc who
is going to open you up without doing everything possible to make you
better without keeping it a laparoscopic surgery. I am sorry If I am
coming accross too strong but I am not telling you anything any one of
us who suffers on a daily basis with adhesions wouldn't tell you. If
you can afford to go to Germany and have these guys help you once and
for all with Spraygel or hang in there until the States Finally decide
we are worthy of being helped.
Have mercy on yourself and take care,Love and Best regards Lillian
