Laying down on my side with my knees bent and legs pulled up definitely
is the best way for me to get comfortable.
It also eases the tug-o-war of adhesions and also helps with the
bloating under my rib-cage and pressure pushing upward (like when 9
mths. pregnant).
Laying on your "left" side can also help trapped gas and bowels to move
that's why they usually encourage you to lay on this side after
surgeries.
Movement makes me worse with "all" my problems, including the adhesions.
Keeping busy may have helped you because it kept your mind occupied and
off of the adhesions.
