Dear Marylou, this is Julia--the one who talked about accupressure. At first I got the accupressure three times a week, but because it was costing a fortune, I now go every two weeks. My chiro manipulates me with his fore and middle finger and he gently pushes in, in a circle until the knots either soften and go down or break apart--hence scar-tissue break-up. It hurts quite bad sometimes and I just have to breathe deeply, but It has helped me immensely. If it were not for my Chiro, I would have had more than one surgery, that is for sure. I am getting to the point though, where I need to go every week, because of the Christmas stuff I have done; cleaning, shopping. eating junk food, that sort of thing that has taxed my body.
Just be careful: you need someone who knows what they are doing, so they don't injure the tissues. I would call up Chiro's around your state or city and ask if they do accupressure.
Good luck, Julia :)
