DDear Peggy,
My suggestion is DO NOT go to work tomorrow even if you are expected to
do open-heart surgery. I have spent my entire lifetime between
unrealistic expectations of others as well as my own, and my body is now
a mess because of it. Take care of yourself. STress makes everything
worse, including pain, adhesions, and bowel obstructions. Good luck.
Bowel obstruction can be life-threatening because if the bowel
perforates, then you can get peritonitis (infection) and it could be
fatal. So stay home tomorrow and don;t go to work.
