Sally is as honest as they come; but I caution people to NOT judge Dr. Reich - based on the results of the adhesiolysis procedures he's performed in the United States! Keep in mind "NO surgeon (including the best surgeons in the world) can promise his/her patient will be adhesion-free after an adhesiolysis procedure!!

At Frankfurt Dr. Reich has the opportunity to add the following adhesion-reduction techniques to those he has devised:

If any adhesions re-formed or if de novo (new) adhesions formed, surgeons can very easily "sweep down" these adhesions; because at this stage the adhesions are like cobwebs. The SLL also gives surgeons another opportunity to apply SprayGel where needed. Second Look Laparoscopy is a procedure that is NOT offered in the United States.

I know its not scientific, because it was only those people on this board, but the results were not good overall. Dr. Reich is an honest and good man. He is currently scheduled to operate with Dr. Kruschinski in January in Germany where the "no carbon dioxide" and the spray gel are current practice. So I send both doctors my good wishes as they try to cure us all from those horrible adhesions.

Dear Helen, Yes, you are right. And I hope I didn't judge Dr. Reich
too much, he did what he could with the materials available. He is
incredibly meticulous and doesn't leave any blood in the abdomen,
very important. He took hours with me going around my organs and did
no collateral damage, also very important. And yes, you are right
about not everybody being able to "be fixed". I know I'm lucky because
they are gone and everything still works. There is hope out there in
Frankfurt and hopefully someday here in the states, but some cases will be
intractible. No one can promise success, human beings are all
different with different problems. But I do think there is
now hope, where there really was not hope before. So I'm very
optimistic. And I applaud Dr. Reich for traveling to Frankfurt
to combine his operating techniques and expand his success rate.
He is such a good surgeon. I hope the gasless technique and spray gel
are approved in this country soon. However you still need a surgeon
who knows how to disconnect the adhesions from the organs without
mutilating the organs and causing more problems. Both Dr. Reich
and Dr. Kruschinski can do this. Love, Sally
