Helen I know about the complications. After 2 surgeons worked on my for 3 hours I was in the hospital for 19 days because I then perforated and had to be operated on again. The adhesions were already there in force and it took the 2 many hours again to get to the problem area and then I lost 10 inches of intestines. I still am not right from the second surgery 7 months later and live with a partial obstruction in 2 areas of my small intestines and also adhesions attached to the bladder. This really is a sucky way to live. I pray the gel works and get approved soon. Also sorry to hear you arent feeling well hope it gets better, God bless Robin Helen Dynda <olddad66@runestone.net> wrote:Do you qualify to become a participant in a clinical trial?

Specific qualifications are required for one to participate in one of the SprayGel Clinical Trials.

X> Adhesions: How can one get into a clinical trial? Qualifications are listed at websites #3 and #4. If you qualify, #5 provides the contact information for the person to contact at Confluent Surgical.

When the surgeon does NOT have the skill and experience in performing very difficult and time-consuming adhesiolysis procedures, there is a greater chance that the patient will develop complications. Severe very dense adhesions make it very difficult to visualize internal organs; and consequently, it can take many hours for the surgeon to lyse adhesions - without causing any unforeseen complications.
