Dr. Moore, Now I have to put in my two cents. Helen Dynda has never verbally attacked anyone on this board. She has given, and still provides us with a lot of useful information on adhesions, as well as many other topics which are adhesion-related. In 1985, I was told I had "minimal" adhesions, which were found during a laparoscopy. Never, once, did that gyn tell me what adhesions were, nor did he tell me the problems they cause. I went for another opinion, and in 2001, I ended up with a TAH/LSO. I obtained copies of both my surgical and pathology reports. That gyn said I had "minimal" adhesions. The left ovary and tube were normal, not diseased. Uterus had some small fibroids. She placed the "Interceed" adhesions barrier. You are correct in saying that it doesn't always work. It didn't. BUT... had I have had my computer, and been on the IAS board prior to January of 2001, I would have NEVER let anyone cut me open, again. If I had been here to read the IAS quilt stories, and Helen Dynda's helpful info, I would not be in the shape I am now in. This posting is not meant to cut you down and belittle you. But I do take some offense at the comments made about Helen. Millie. P.S. I was not one who chose to privately email you. I have nothing to hide.
