Do you still have your ovaries? I have pain like that every month when I ovulate. It goes away after 12 hours, though. (If I ever get appendicitis at the same time as I was expecting to ovulate I will be dead before I figure out that it's not just mittelschmertz! 8-0 )

Other possibilities are an ovarian cyste has burst, spewing gunk all over your insides. Or you have one of those ovarian cysts which is on a stalk, and it has twisted your ovary. Both of these can be very life-threatening things.

If the pain has already gone away, then I might believe that this was ovulation pain. If not, then I think you should call your doctor. You doctor will be able to tell you whether it's best to go to the ER, or to go to get an ultrasound, etc. If it's an ovarian cyst they should be able to see it.
