Dear Jenny At this time, don't worry about becoming addicted! Post pain patients do not become addicted. I had been on Oxycontin before & never had any trouble comming off of it. When comming off any med, make sure you do it with your Dr, so that you can do it slowly. You can also take a different med to help with comming off the Oxycontin. I am taking Duragesic patch 75, MS Contin 60 mg and Vicodin 10 mg. Once after surgery, I did come off the Duragesic patch too fast. My only reaction was having leg spasms. It lasted for about 1 1/2 weeks. Once, I had to come off the vicodin. I just took smaller doses for headaches. My Dr has told me not to worry about comming off the meds, she will be with me to help when that time comes. So, that is my advice to you, let this be one more thing you don't have to worry about. Best of luck & prayers, robin M
