I was going to ask you if you had any specific questions, Jess, and I
guess at least one of them is about the SprayGel. I have heard here
that it is really the only adhesion barrier that is very effective, and
it is currently available in Germany (and Australia, I think). Dr.s
Kruschinski and Reich (http://www.endogyn.com) do surgery in Frankfort on
adhesions, but I'm not sure if the surgery is only for that (the
adhesiolysis), or if they also do GI or other types of surgery. And
it's obvious that if you need to have GI surgery anyplace that SprayGel
is not available, then you would have more adhesion formation and
problems if that has been the case in the past.
There are currently clinical trials on SprayGel in the US. I know they
started a few months ago, and I think they are now closed to new people.
The FDA says it will take 24 months of studies. But here is the
manufacturer's link:
http://confluentsurgical.com/. Perhaps contacting them directly will
produce results.
