THANK YOU HELEN FOR THIS POST. I WAS TREATED LIKE THIS VERY EARLY ON AFTER
THE BIRTH OF MY BABY ALMOST 6 YEARS AGO. THE DOCTORS DIDN'T BELIEVE ME AND
EVEN THO THEY SAW MY ADHESIONS AND SUFFERING WITH MANY SURGERIES, THEY STILL
TREATED ME LIKE THIS. IT'S ONLY BEEN IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS THAT I'VE FELT
LIKE A NORMAL PERSON THAT JUST HAS PAIN AND NOW I HAVE A PAIN DOCTOR THAT
TELLS ME HE'S GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK. HE TELLS ME THAT IT'S OK TO TAKE
NARCOTICS FOR PAIN WHEN YOU REALLY NEED THEM. HE TELLS ME THAT TAKING PAIN
MEDS IS A TRADE OFF FOR LIVING A SEMI NORMAL LIFE. I AM THANKFUL THAT YOU
SENT THIS OUT TO ALL OF US. WE NEEDED TO HEAR THIS AND IT'S GOOD TO HAVE TO
TAKE TO DOCTORS THAT AREN'T WILLING TO TREAT THEIR PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC
PAIN. TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS. LOVE TO ALL,

They are treated like third-class citizens. They are condemned by their
families, the medical establishment, our "watchdog" state and federal
agencies, and society at large. They are unfairly mislabeled as addicts."
