Karla,
So good to hear from you. My heart goes out to you today at this time of
sadness and remembrance.
So sorry you struggled today, not only mentally, but physically as well. God
has made you one tough
cookie! I will keep you, your daughter and granddaughters in my prayers. I
know today was a difficult day.
Blessings,
Karen

I know now just how weak I really am and how long it is going to take me to
get "back to normal". Today was the anniversary of my grandson's death. My
daughter and I had purchased some things to take up to his gravesite. I
started to walk through the snow (its about a foot deep...no paths have been
shoveled) to his site on top of the hill of the cemetery. I lost my footing
and fell into the snow. I wasn't hurt, but I could not get up. My daughter
tried to get me up, but I had no strength to pull myself and since she is
eight months pregnant I didn't want to put any added burden on her. My two
little granddaughters were pulling at me to get me up, but of course they
couldn't help either....bless their hearts. I ended up having to crawl back
down through the snow to the car. Even then I couldn't get up...I had my
daughter pull the car to me so that I could use the door to pull myself up.
That didn't work either so ! I turned around and worked my butt up to the
floor of the car and finally into the seat. I know now that I need to get
some extensive physical therapy. It was an extremely scary and frustrating
..particularly when it is very cold here and I certainly wasn't dressed for
lying in the snow. But, nothing that a long hot bath wouldn't cure...as
well as an entire day in bed.
God Bless!

Hi!
Just wanted to send a very quick note to let you know that I am home. I was
discharged yesterday afternoon. I will not be posting much as I have
absolutely no energy. To those who are getting ready to undergo surgery or
have already done so, God Bless you. Thank you to all who have sent their
best wishes and prayers. You are not forgotten.
Love,
