"Gasless Procedure: Dr. Kruschinski has invented a new and interesting "Gasless" device known as the AbdoLift. Via a small laparoscopic incision - and without the use of carbon dioxide gas - the AbdoLift will lift the patient's abdomen up and provide the surgeon with a very good view of the surgical field.

"In very time-consuming adhesiolysis procedures, there are side effects with the use of carbon dioxide gas. This gas is considered to be one of the factors that are known to cause the formation of adhesions. With the use of the AbdoLift, there are no side effects to the peritoneum and also including no shoulder pain!!"

In the United States surgeons use carbon dioxide gas to insufflate the abdomen in preparation for laparoscopic surgery. Carbon dioxide gas has been known to contribute to the formation of adhesions.
