I'd be really concerned about taking something that lasts for 3 months when you really don't know how you will react to it. At least if you take some form of the pill/patch and things get worse you can stop taking it and the hormones will clear out of your system completely in a few days. Or if you take one and it's not good, you can try another one. But 3 months is a pretty long committment!!!

The mini-pill is the pill which is closest in form to the depo -- is there any reason why you can't try that instead? Also, while some women do get that "bleeding every day" reaction to depo (and sometimes the mini-pill, too) but in a lot of them it's spotting every day. Which is a nuisance, but nothing in the same ballpark as the kind of bleeding that you have been dealing with.

The Cramps and Pain are unreal. My uterus and bladder are adhered together and then attached to the abdominal wall. My pain doc wants me to have the Depo shot hoping that it will stop my periods all together., What do you guys think. I don't want to be bleeding all the time like my sister did when she got the shot. Another thing. When on my period When I urinate, I have such burning and pain that I have to take uristat or pyridium. Anyone else go through that.,
