I have lost weight since my lap 2 weeks ago. As a registered dietitian the only reason I did not lose weight prior to the lap was I was drinking supplements and living on icecream. Seemed to be the only think that didn't make me nauseaus and didn't upset my stomach too much after. Try eating very small meals more often so that your system is not trying to digest too much at once. I also found that fatty foods seemed to upset my system more, but that could be just me. Also try and establish a pattern. If you tend to wake up hungry for pizza, go for it! Digestive complications from adhesions aside being in chronic pain and taking pain killers will significantly decrease your appetite. Guess I am lucky. Being intolerant to narcotics I have a better pain tolerance. Those things can really mess up your system. Would be nice to have as an option though. I also seemed to require more calories, figure those little stinkers must be sucking up extra energy in order to get big and strong ;)

Best of luck. At Tue, 22 Apr 2003, Koolinsask@aol.com wrote: >
