Be sure to read what The Federation of State Medical Boards' Guidelines have to say about pain management.
1.) Model Guidelines for the Use of Controlled Substances for the Treatment of Pain (5/2/98).....I believe these guidelines are mentioned within the state law for each state in the United States. (If I'm wrong, please let me know.)
