A hysterectomy will not cure endometriosis!!

Many women have been told that a hysterectomy "will cure" endometriosis. This is NOT true!! A doctor, who tells a woman that a hysterectomy will cure endometriosis, does not have current knowledge about endometriosis!! Just because a doctor is an Ob/Gyn does NOT make him or her an authority on endometriosis!!

Gynecologists, who specialize in endometriosis, take special training in order to help women, who have endometriosis. These specialists do not deliver babies! Their practice is limited to endometriosis!!

The best endometriosis specialists do NOT believe in the use of drugs - such as Lupron, etc.

Endometriosis specialists have learned that "excision surgery" is the most best way to treat endometriosis; because endometriosis has a tendency to be buried under adhesions. Unless they excise the microscopic traces of endometriosis, endometriosis will once again become activated.

When endometriosis specialists excise microscopic endometriosis, they will actually send a sample of the microscopic tissue to pathology for a pathologist to examine - while the patient is still in the operating room; because this is the only sure way to know if they've excised "every trace" of microscopic endometriosis!

Excision of "every microscopic trace" of endometriosis gives an endometriosis-sufferer an excellent chance to become free of endometriosis. Unless "every trace" of endometriosis is removed, there is a good chance that the endometrial implants will return; and then the remainng endometrial implants will bleed and cause more scarring (adhesions)!!
