Thickened Sigmoid colon, could it be adhesions?

I was having left lower quadrant pain and my doctor referred me to have
a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis. They found a thickened part of my
sigmoid colon. Could this be related to adhesions? I have had 2
C-sections, a left salpingo-oophoretoectomy and a total abdominal
hysterectomy.
