I went to the ER yesterday, they did blood work, and an ultrasound, but they told me everything is clear. When I was there yesterday, I was nauseated but not to badly, they gave me a shot of phergran, (OUCH!!!!) I have never had a shot that hurt like that. When I got home later in the day (they wouldn't give me anything for the pain since I took my 30 mgs of oxycontin) I started running a fever of 101. The pain is awful, When I breathe it shoots sharp, really sharp, pains through my right shoulder. I know that their is something wrong, when I had my lap in October the doc never said anything about adhesions around that area. The ER doc said since my bladder and uterus are attached to the navel area, they would have to open me up. What can I do ladies, I know that it is my gall bladder as my mother and 2 sisters have had to have them removed.

Linda,

I had my gallbladder removed when I was 21. I pregnant when I had gallstones but they weren't diagnosed until 7 months after delivery. I had severe pain under the right breast. I couldn't eat and if I did I forced myself to throw-up because the pain would kill me. The pain was so bad that I would stop in the middle of malls and grocery stores and lie on the floor in a ball until it went away. Of course, doctors didn't believe me. I lost over 20 pounds during the first 6 months of my pregnancy. They thought I was bulimic and threatened to hospitalize me. I felt great after the gallbladder surgery, unfortunately I now have scar tissue in that area because my surgery was before the new procedures were being used so that opened me up. If it is stones vs adhesions, they have numerous treatments methods vice surgery that will help them dissolve without surgery.
