Hi SusieQ,
Love that name! Have to tell you, that was my nickname
for Melissa, along with "Bonnie", tee...hee...I have no idea
how we arrived at Bonnie...but those names bring fond memories
of laughter.....Melissa said at least those names were better
than her sister's nickname..."Toot" or "Tootie" ......."Miranda" is
now 25 and for some strange reason, the poor girl is STUCK with
"Toot" and "Tootie".............(guess it was because she was the
baby).
The first two surgeons were reproductive endocrinologist's...one
in Texas, one in California.......both HIGHLY recommended.
Dr. Daniel Kruschinski is the only one I care to remember, however,
because of the RESULTS of surgery......She is well now!
Dr. Kruschinski is the head of the Institute for Endoscopic Gynecology
in Germany.....better known as EndoGyn.......you can read all
about him, his techniques, etc at http://www.EndoGyn.com .
Dr. Kruschinski is is the storm behind gasless laparoscopy......he
is paving the way for surgery without the risk of cell death, adhesion
formation, etc. by using the AbdoLift system he invented. He is one of
the most sought after, invited speakers to the international congresses,
workshops, etc........his technique, skill and passion for bringing
a patient to an adhesion free state is working!
Old habits die hard, as we all know, and many surgeons are familiar
with this new exciting technique, but sadly they are not yet using it.
I firmly believe the CO2 had to be one of the worst things that was
presented into Melissa's abdominal cavity in her first 2 US surgeries.
Both surgeries left her in a worse condition, with areas of new pain
(new adhesions)...........I searched for the BEST doctor both times,
and I am still disheartened that within all the discussion PRIOR to
both surgeries, neither surgeon mentioned the risks associated
with CO2.........and how many of us KNOW to ask about CO2?
Let me know if I can help you further.......must get to work or my
husband may fire me............
Hugs,
Karen

Hi Karen and Melissa,
--
Wow, I really appreciate your quick responses. Since you had so many
surgeries to remove the adhesions, what type of surgeon did the
surgeries? Was it a nephrologist, an endometriosis specialist,
reproductive specialist, etc.? I am trying to figure out which
specialist is the right choice. I don't want to have any more
surgeries, obviously, but I will not have any other option.
Thanks again for your replies, I have learned a lot from reading all the
archives.
Best of luck to you both, SusieQ
.
