IBS/Adhesions

I have had a horrific pain under my left breast for 18 17 years. It has become aunbearable. I have been seeing a digestive heath specialists. He has done a flex on the colon and put a light down into the stomach and has diagnoised me with IBS. I already knew I had IBS. That was not the problem! I kept telling him that I can feel "something" on the outside of my stomach. What do I do? The pain is still there and he doesn't intend to do any further testing. I think if someone would just look into my abdomen they'd find what I'm talking about. I have had gall bladder surgery, a hystorectomy, and an appendectomy. I proably have adhesions. Could they make this pain I am feeling?
