X> Part 2 of 4...Questions to ask a prospective surgeon...

.) What is his/her understanding about adhesions-related disorder (ARD)?

.) What is his/her philosophy about adhesions, etc.?

.) What diagnostic tests will rule out a bowel obstruction - prior to actually submitting to a surgery!!

.) What kind of surgical equipment does he/she use to perform an adhesiolysis?

.) Does he/she use sharp dissection or laser technique, etc? (You will first have to acclimate yourself to which surgical technique will offer you the best chance for recovery.)

.) Why does his/her specific technique and procedure work best?

.) What has been his/her success rate?

.) How many adhesiolysis procedures does he/she perform in a year? The MORE adhesiolysis procedures a surgeon performs, the more skilled he/she becomes - thus offering you the best chance for recovery from ARD.

.) How many adhesiolysis procedures has he/she completed; and how many years has he/she been performing these procedures?

.) Be sure to ask for his/her written procedure for an adhesiolysis; and then compare it with the procedure Harry Reich, MD used during Beverly Doucette's successful adhesiolysis procedure in April 1999...

[To: Part 3 of 4...Bev's account of her adhesiolysis experience with Dr. Reich as her surgeon.]
