nerve damage or something else?

Just told that I have adhesions on my right ovary/tube caused by PID.I
have major pain on my right side esp. around the time my period starts.
It hurts in my hip and back and was wondering if this could be nerve
damage or something else.I have seen the doctor so many times in the
past 2 months and am really tired of running to him when I hurt.Any help
would be appreciated.I have searched the internet but all the info is
the same and cant find the answer I need.
