Its frustrating when you have endless hospital stays and tests and "everything" turnes out normal. I've been down the same road many times.
As for your question on how to convince your doc to have a look see surgery, you have to have a heart to heart conversation with him, tears might even help. Me crying in the office convinced the doctor that did surgery on me to take my complaints seriously. Which I'm glad it helped because I had a mass in my colon that had to be removed.
I wish you luck with your doctor's appointment, I hope you get some relief from your pain.
