Hi Debbie, I can't answer you for sure.... but I'll give it a shot.

Basicall the chest and abdominal regions are separated by the diaphragm, so adhesions can reach any part of the organs within the pelvic/abdominal area, but I would not think that they could invade the chest cavity. But if they attached to the diaphragm, they could be pulling on it. Possibly that could affect your breathing.

On the other hand, your esophagus has to go through your diaphragm at some point... not real good with the anatomy there, but you could start with that. wr
