Samantha,

I had trigger point injections done on my back (one of my many painful medical conditions along with ARD). I was told that is done to break up a muscle spasm. The doctor will inject either a steroid, lidocane(basically a numbing agent) or do a dry needle. I don't see how this will help your adhesions-especially in your front. If I were you I would call your primary doctor and really have a heart to heart with him. Give him your concerns, and see if he feels it is really the right thing for you. It will also help if you do some peeking on the Internet, and print out your findings and take them with you to the meeting. You can find Trigger point Injections on Web MD and it will give you a broader look at what is involved-Google is good too, just type in Trigger Point Injections-you will have loads to talk to the doc about.

On another level I know how hard it is to be in pain and just want something to work, I feel so bad that this is happening to you. Please feel free to IM or email me if you wish I will help you if I can. My story is on the Quilt ---Jacqueline Hedgspeth.

My email is elefun4@aol.com. I wish you good luck and a pain free days. Jackie LI
